Hi,
I was working on a project on Vivado 2013.3 - Windows, and I want ton continue working on it using Vivado 2014.1 - Linux.
I tried opening the project and I keep getting this error each time I try to open BlockDesign

As the pop-up indicates, I suggest you open a case with Xilinx. This is a tool issue.
Upgrading a project is always a bit of challenge, but jumping two software versions is really a challenge. You'd probably be better off migrating one version at a time -- first to 2013.4 and then to 2014.1 and now 2014.2 is available.
