SFP MODULE(GTH VC709)

Hi to every one 

i am trying to send and receive data through sfp module that is installed over vc709 virtex board  using xilinz vivado tool

1.i am unable to commnicate with the spf connector .

2.ibert core given by xilinx working fine but when i am trying my generated core then i am not able to receive or send any thing over the optical fiber (sfp ).

3. is there is requirement of iic to access sfp connector  if yes then how i can use iic

plz guide i fanyone have any exp in this regards

    Hello MOHIT,

    We do not support the VC709.  This is a Xilinx product supported by Xilinx at this forum

    In the meantime, I can offer that since your system seems to work with IBERT, you probably have not chosen a protocol.  If you are trying to run IIC over your SFP link, you will need to add a protocol to your link.  Something like Aurora might be helpful.

    This is a simple protocol you can implement and do a point to point connection between two devices.  Typically you would setup data members to hold your information to be processed.  You will need to write this.  Data members could be registers contained inside the FPGA, or whatever memory you wish to implement.
