Zynq Boot Image

Former Member

Hi,

I have a model in Simulink that I can run in Zedboard. I have configurated the Ethernet subnet in Zedboard too. But when I create a new Zynq Boot Image and try to execute the interfaz model on the Zedboard, I have a problem with the network because the system not connect and I recive the following message:

Error occurred while executing External Mode MEX-file 'ext_comm': Failed to connect to the target. Possible reasons for the failure: a) The target is not switched on. b) The target is not connected to your host machine. c) The application for the model is not running on the target. You might have clicked the Stop button. Caused by: An error occurred attempting to open an rtIOStream. More detail may be reported in the MATLAB command window

I think my problem is in the boot configuration but I don't know how to solve it. Can you help me?

Thanks and regards,

If I understand your question, you want to modify the Zynq boot image used with the  MathWorks Zynq Support Packages and External Mode.

To my knowledge there is not support for this.

    Hello,

I've tried with the blink eyes model, I've repeated all steps and I can save fine my model, and the Zedboard target execute it good too. I want to change some inputs or outputs from the save model and I've tried to do it with interface generated in the HDL Code tool but I only have some errors. How can do it? Is it possible to do what I want to do? Do you have some document or article about it?

    Thanks and regads.

Since ZedBoard appears to be working correctly, the rest of your question is probably better for the experts at  MathWorks.

This post on setting up custom boards may help:
