Zedboard rev. F DDR3

Hi,

I would like to assure the DDR3 used in Zedboard rev. F.

As fas as I know, rev. C comes with MT41J128M16HA-15E:D 1, while rev. D 2 comes with MT41K128M16JT-125:K.

In vivado project, I cannot find the exact part number of the last one (I do not know what K means). Moreover the last one seems to be a low voltage DDR3 (SDRAM - DDR3L) and its max. voltage is 1.45 V (instead of 1.5V of the schematics).

Any help on this? Should I use in Vivado MT41K128M16JT-125 part for Zedboard rev. F??

Many thanks in advance,

Typically, a new DDR part is specifically selected to be fully backwards compatible with the previous boards. I would be very surprised if Digilent did something different this time. Therefore, I suggest you use the DDR settings that are captured in the board definition file.

Additionally, the settings you populate in Vivado must be the maximum settings allowed by both the DDR and the Xilinx device. Many times, the Xilinx controller is the limitation, not the DDR, at least when it comes to frequency. Again, use the published board definition and you should be OK.
