My title says it all.
I get an email from Hackster saying "Get your free kit".
I go through the signup process etc and register for the course - and BAM!
Sorry - you have to pay AND you have to wait 14 weeks! Say WHAAAT?!?

There is no course you need register for. Just click this Azure Sphere. Look for "Register for free kit button*" to click.
A popup will appear to fill in detail. After "Submit", see this:
Thanks for registering. Check your Inbox on element14 community or your email for your voucher code and link to the website. (Your inbox is the bell icon on the top right of the page. Email is dependent on your notification preferences for Direct Messages).
Your voucher code will allow you to obtain a free kit. You will only pay for shipping charges and any applicable sales taxes or customs duties in your country.
Did you follow this?
Yes - I did follow it. Instead of the Submit button, there's now a BUY button. Go figure!
And even if I did want to buy, there's a 14 week wait for the kit.
So my advice would be: don't advertise free kits if there's none available, as it comes across as click bait and a bit scammy.

Hi Tim, I think you've conflated a Hackster workshop program with our Design Challenges. For the Design Challenges we have offered 20,000 free kits, but you have to be in an eligible country, and it sounds like your country is now not eligible for one reason or another. That's why you see the "buy now" button instead of the "register for a free kit" button.
Tim is right, the Free kit button has changed to Buy Now. I'm in an eligible country in Europe.
Curious, the contest map only shows 400 devices registered globally, and stock has been exhausted for 2 weeks in Europe.
Probably Microsoft allotted a very small percent out of the 20.000 devices to this tech-backwards continent.
I've got a free one and events have caught up with me so I have no time to play with it - first private message with a UK address gets it. (Never powered, so never registered or anything like that.)

Hey! I'll take it! Will message you my address!
Good luck with that - I should have a private Message Inbox somewhere but I can't find it !
My email address is in my profile - send me an email there.
