It is our understanding that our India business is arranged so that those who are ordering this kit must enter something for the GST number, and that this potentially will then be verified. It is a condition of the business that unfortunately can't be changed for a special instance like this.

You can certainly still join the challenge! You would need to obtain your own Avnet Azure Sphere kit in that case.

I did provided gst number. actually in india you can't create an account on element14 without gst no. I have an account and even order is successfully placed. Just they are denying of delivery because i am individual.

I understand. Unfortunately, although this challenge is global, the offering of free kits is dependent in many ways on the regulations of different countries, so there are sometimes roadblocks that cannot be changed for this specific program. I hope you will be able to join the challenge one way or another.

I am also facing the same problem. And I am confused here. The FAQ page says "NOTE FOR INDIA: THE FREE KIT IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THOSE WHO ARE ABLE TO ENTER SOMETHING FOR THEIR GST NUMBER AT CHECKOUT, AS THIS IS A REQUIREMENT FOR OUR BUSINESS OFFERING THE AZURE SPHERE KIT TO CONSUMERS IN INDIA." To my understanding, this does not mean that you have to own the GST no. otherwise only the directors of the companies will be eligible for the free kit. As I understand this is, that you can use the GST of the company where you are working (with their permission of course). because GST no. is essential for producing the invoice as element14 India is a B2B company. It is same as if the company is buying the kit for you.

Someone, please clarify this doubt, because as Arun said in.element14 don't reply. I had a telephonic conversation with a representative, where I was informed that the kit cannot be delivered to my address as it is different from the address in GST certificate, to which I requested them to change the address and deliver it to companies address, and we agreed on that but its been 3 days and my order is still pending. Tried to contact twice through email and contact form but got no reply.

I completely agree with you. Actually they are making different excuses. They are not responding at all. After multiple try i was able to contact over phone, and they haven't replied on the email i sent. I am not even sure that i will get my shipping money back or not. I really didn't expected so much unprofessional behavior  from  element14 over a free kit (Link to which were being promoted).

No, that's your experience. Mine is different, I got the voucher, and it got me the free board.

Although I cannot help resolving your issue, please don't assume that others will have the same experience as you.

Congrats you got your kit, but I just want to know that,  do you have your name on GST certificate, or you used your company's GST no.
