And today, without re-sending, it took almost exactly 15 minutes for the map to show the sync. Is this to be expected?

I think that someone said it updates every 3 hours. So depending on when you sync it can be anything up to that. I wouldn't stress about it. I've seen it stated that the official position is that if you…

I think you and Steve are both correct, although I think 3 hours might be too long an interval. The previous times, it was always less than 15 minutes, and this time it was almost exactly 15, so I think…

That’s normal. I expect that what you see on the map is not the live data but data copied at set time intervals to a data set used specifically for mapping and analysis.

I've seen it stated that the official position is that if you miss one or two it doesn't matter. What's important is that you've entered into the spirit of it.

I think you and Steve are both correct, although I think 3 hours might be too long an interval. The previous times, it was always less than 15 minutes, and this time it was almost exactly 15, so I think it's likely a shorter interval (probably to keep folks from freaking out). I've probably just averaged hitting it in the middle of, or close to the middle of, an update cycle.

I thought that might be the case, but I wasn't certain.

Thank you both for taking the time to answer!

Oh it is worse than that. I have seen the map update and the highest leaders not update. Anyway look for the emails. Otherwise check twice a day!

Hi there! These responses in the thread are correct, and Clem below is right that the response emails confirming that you have synced to the server are the best guide of whether you've completed that day's requirement. And if technical problems or life situations make you unable to make your syncs consecutive for a few days, we totally understand, we are looking for you to hit the 15 day requirement and make the best possible effort to make those days consecutive.
