Heat Map doesn't show all daily reports of connected Azure Sphere Starter Kit made

Oscar - when you did this connection to the contest server did you receive a confirmation email afterwards?

Hi Daniel, looking up in my inbox, I have a confirmation email for September 22nd.

I checked a moment ago and received the expected confirmation email immediately after registering my starter kit

That's good to hear Peter! Have you observed any of your recent connections not eventually showing up on the heatmap?

Note that the heat map is not immediately updated. I'd recommend check it again in a half-hour, filtering for your zip code and today's date
eg. Here is my registration from this morning:

peterfenn danzima Guys please, I am talking about Sep 22nd, I received a confirmation email, I replied that when I was asked earlier today.

I was missing one count so I started looking for the missing day in the heat map, then found that my device does not appear on the 22nd, again I have a confirmation email for that day.

Depending on your time zone relative to GMT 0 (UK time) you may have a double entry either the previous day or the next day. I found that was true for me. The day changes at UK time for midnight and not your time for midnight...

Well that makes more sense. Nonetheless, because this challenge is for participants around the World, this should be taken into consideration, I should not need to adjust to another country timing specially if the difference is more than just a couple of hours.

I reviewed the hour and time of the emails received for Sep, 21, 22 and 23, and this is what I have:

Sep 21: 11:10 am EDT

Sep 22: 9:37pm EDT

Sep 23: 2:39 pm EDT

So if what happened to clem57 would have happened to me too, I should have a count of 2 for Sep 23, only that I have not.

From the image you see, that after I got the device I have only missed the 2 days because the server was down and this Sep 22nd for no official reason.

How would the organizers tackle this? Thanks

Hi Oscar, something to be aware of: when we finally pull together our report of which kits connected to the server and how many times, we will not be relying on the heatmap for that information, which is just an illustration for the purposes of the contest.
