Change blog or remove it and add a new one?

I started writing a blog a while ago aiming to enter it into Sensing world challenge. Unfortunately, while working on it I found that some Azure Sphere functions are not yet supported and I consider this a major setback for achieving what this project was about to be. In this case I want to change the project as I have a new idea. Do You think I should edit the blog I have already created or remove it completly and create a new one as a challenge entry?

Hi Jakub, either of those will work! We will not judge any blogs until the end of the contest on October 27 2019, so any changes you make between now and then will not count either for or against you in…

Thank You for the reply, I think I will remove it as it does not bring anything useful in its current state.

Operating System support of some additional Azure Sphere device features is expected this week. Which missing functions are needed in this design?

    Here is what to expect:

Azure Sphere Preview—Update 19.09 is now available for evaluation

Posted on Wednesday, September 25, 2019

The Azure Sphere Preview 19.09 feature release is now available via the retail evaluation feed. The retail evaluation is meant for backwards compatibility testing. Use the retail evaluation feed to verify production-signed applications against the new release before we deploy it broadly on the retail feed. If you encounter problems, please notify us immediately through your Microsoft technical account manager (TAM) so that we can address any issues. Microsoft engineers and Azure Sphere community experts will also respond to product-related questions on our MSDN forum and development questions on Stack Overflow. The regular retail OS feed will continue to deliver version 19.07, and we plan to upgrade the retail OS feed to 19.09 sometime in early October.

To install the 19.09 update on your devices during the evaluation period, you'll need to set up an OTA configuration that receives updates from the retail evaluation OS feed, if you haven’t already done so. For more information on how to change the configuration, see Set up a device group for OS evaluation.

Important: We’ve changed the name of the time server to prod.time.sphere.azure.net (instead of time.sphere.azure.net). Your network firewall settings must enable access to this host so that your device can continue to receive over-the-air updates and new certificates.

If your device is still running a release older than 18.11, it’ll be unable to authenticate to an Azure IoT Hub via DPS or receive OTA updates. For information on how to proceed in that case, see the previous version’s release notes.

Visit the Azure Sphere website for documentation and more information on how to get started with your Azure Sphere development kit. To kick off an Azure Sphere engagement with your Microsoft representative, email us.

Thank you for your comments and suggestions. We also welcome product feedback and new feature requests.

Ooooh. Interesting. The last few updates have been minimal, so I wasn't expecting much from 19.09. I look forward to seeing what it contains. I thought about pulling down the preview version but it didn't seem obvious how to do it on a device set for development rather than field deployment. If it's later this week anyway I can wait.

I found the M4 cores support very lacking when trying different examples and documentation. It missed I2C HW support which I needed the most. I wanted to sample accelerometer with quite high frequency. I tried doing it on A7 core but squeezed about 300Hz sampling rate with no additional functionality running. A7 is just not for these type of things. I could write software I2C on bare GPIOs but I do not have that much spare time.
