Azure Sphere Starter Kit (Rev2) - what is the 5V 3V3 power budget/limit that a Click1 or Click2 module may draw?  Goes to "at what load do Click modules have to supply their own power source and voltage regulators" so as not to overload the supplies on the MT3620 motherboard?

    I dont know about rev2 but on rev1 there were global limit (at 5V branch) of 1A enforced by protection circuit. 3v3 regulator is dimensed up to 2A, so it do not add any additional limit. To summarize,…

    Thank you very much. The web documentation seems more of SW user guide and doesn't really address it... unless I didn't find it yet. Much appreciated!

    I dont know about rev2 but on rev1 there were global limit (at 5V branch) of 1A enforced by protection circuit. 3v3 regulator is dimensed up to 2A, so it do not add any additional limit. To summarize, sum of currents must be less than 1A. Note that some current is consumed by module and other onboard peripherals. Wi-Fi can be very hungry at peaks, so I recoment sourcing up to 750 mA but less is better of course. Maybe there are some other restrictions (for example PCB traces) but I do not find any information about it and I guess in this case Avnet would configure current limiting to lower value.
