card polling problem

Hi

I have both the first raspberry pi and pi2. I am doing a college project and trying to make an NFC student registering system with the Pi and an explore-NFC add-on board. I have followed every single step from their start-up guide on trying the card_polling project demo but when I type ./card_polling to execute it, it just says:

/****** Begin Polling ******/

and stays like that without any further action.

Im using this on my new pi2.

Ive fully updated everything required as well! What am I doing wrong?

Hi, the software projects are not working anymore with the latest Raspbian image. Looks like the update is breaking something.

Amin I've struck the same issues you have. I've tried using the normal software and even installed the windows version which gives you the software and no joy. All the documentation points to using Raspbian-wheezy rather than raspbian from NOOBs and I can't see it making any difference. Tomorrow I might try on an older distribution and Pi B to see if there is a difference. I don't know enough about the cmake process to see whats happening but I suspect something isn't being initialised. Mark

The card-polling sample works on Raspbery Pi 2 with kernel 3.18, but t here is a missing initialization after the line 329 of the file NxpRdLib_PublicRelease/comps/phbalReg/src/R_Pi_spi/phbalReg_R_Pi_spi.c : phStatus_t phbalReg_R_Pi_spi_Exchange( phbalReg_R_Pi_spi_DataParams_t * pDataParams, uint16_t wOption, uint8_t * pTxBuffer, uint16_t wTxLength, uint16_t wRxBufSize, uint8_t * pRxBuffer, uint16_t * pRxLength ) { struct spi_ioc_transfer spi ; memset(&spi,0,sizeof(spi)); // add missing initialization Have a look at /usr/include/linux/spi/spidev.h to see that not all fields of spi_ioc_transfer are initialized.
