OS Support

It seems as if the model in  the video was running Windows, and it got me thinking about what OSs Rasberry Pi can run. Almost for sure Linux, maybe Windows and even further strech, can it possibly run a modified version of OS X? My main interest is if I could somehow turn this into a Hackintosh (probably running Leopard or Snow Leopard).

Hi, did you mean these tutorial videos:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28CqDKjtppg

I think he using a Windows PC to host a VirtualBox VM in which he's installed Debian.  I think he was doing this to show people how to get used to the Raspberry Pi programming environment on their own PC until the actual boards are eventually available.

As for the OS support, I think its great that there will likely be a lot of options.  I read about different distros of Linux, Andriod & RISC OS.  I would say the first hurdle would be that it could be built for the ARM architecutre of the Raspberry Pi.  The trouble with OS X is I don't think there is any ARM version out there.

    Cheers,

    Drew
