I'm looking for an FPGA development kit/system where I can embed an ARM processor. I am experienced in electronics and microcontrollers, but I want to learn FPGA design and ARM architecture. With an FPGA where I can embed an ARM processor, I can embed the ARM and have a useful ARM MCU system right off the bat with Xilinx or Altera reference designs.
Here are my goals, but I may have to sacrifice a few to get many:
- ARM embedded core (w/ ARM IDE and JTAG Debugging capability, CoreSight)
- FPGA (Verilog)
- Linux support
- Expandable: e.g., Wi-Fi, bluetooth, etc
Less than $400-500, but would like significantly less (would probably opt for standalone ARM dev system @ < $200 then separately consider the FPGA dev board).
Thanks in advance
