Question about BRD single layer.

Hello everyone,

I've been working quite some time with eagle now, but now I've bumped into a problem.

Facts: -Many components

-Single layer

Problem: Can't get it rooted.

so as I must stay single layer for this project I've been searching for a tool to create "bridges" on, as in following picture.

As you see above the jumpers (lower left corner) for example, there are 2 bridges.

Now I've downloaded this file "1layer.ctl". As I thought this would allow me to insert bridges into my BRD file.

I've tried the following: Make Schedule, make BRD, didnt root yet. Added 1layer.ctl file in same map (directory) as my BRD and SCH, under the same name. Then I've launched my SCH, and BRD, then I pushed auto route but it didnt change anything.

Any ideas?

...This might be a little late, but I'll post anyway!

What I would suggest is to draw a large via where you want the bridge, then rename it to whatever the net segment it's supposed to connect to is called. When your board is finished, you should only see airwires between the large vias (aka pads that you can solder onto).

Hope this helps! It's a really well layed out board by the way. No way the autorouter did all of it!
