Hi There Guy's  I have come back to electronics after a couple of years of. I'm designing and implementing couple of interesting boards i have already prototyped and Tested a couple.

I would like to know were to go now. What are your recommendations regarding this.

Where is it convenient to manufacture or manual manufacturing?

Do you sell it yourself or find a distributor? etc.

Any recommendations will be appreciated.

    Hi Kevin

I am in same boat as you are so can not give you correct answer but I am happy to share my journey.

I developed a product prototype then I successfully made few devices myself and started distributing to people I know and  other who were interesting in the product.

All the kickstarter project made an impression on me that it can go crazy if your idea is good but I think that was wrong assumption. There are many things involved with your product.

I would suggest to do some research and find appropriate market for your device. Once you find it, you can think of different marketing strategies to reach those people.

As as an example I researched that for my product (http://letterboxalarm.apptronix.com.au)  right market would be elderly, disable or techi people. To address that I started online shop, facebook page, ebay  and google adword. As physical advertising I am doing flyer distribution though letterbox mails.

It is always trial and error but happy part is it is the same with big companies and other businesses. Only problem is that they have money and previous experience to get right in few trials.

And that is why I thought of sharing my experience with you to give an idea.

Give me an idea of your product so I can discuss my thoughts.

I welcome everyone who read this, to participate and give their thoughts or advice regarding my product .

    Regards,
