Options on where to source LCD Panels

Hi All,

 

I'm looking for your advice on where I can source 10 to 24 Inch LCD Panels along with the HDMI to LVDS Bridges required to drive them. Element14 don't have much in the way of this and my experience with the vendors on Alibaba.com has been very hit and miss. For the moment I'm just looking at single order samples for testing and prototyping but I'll need to order in larger quantities (50+) in future. The panels I'm looking for would be LED backlit, Indoor use (Not sunlight readable). Maximum viewing angles and landscape/portrait flexibility is a must. Any advice would be appreciated.

    you should try to search a PC recycling company which would sell you a batch of "old" laptops. I did buy few years back 15 pieces of Toshiba satellites with 14,5" displays, 1366x768 resolution 15€ a piece. And sourced from Hong Kong web market HDMI to LVDS adapter boards 8€ a piece. Not much point to build your own boards when readymade boards with cables are that cheap.
