Is it possible to have a USB upstream?

I want to use the Pi as a USB device controller.

As far as I know the Pi has a USB OTG interface.

Is it possible to configure the USB and have a upstream port on the Pi?

Hi Erwin,

According to this thread it is not a simple undertaking (requires significant development)
to actually use OTG functionality on the RPI SoC:
