Hi Everyone. I would like to embark on a collective project to build a 512-node Raspberry Pi Supercomputer using the latest Raspberry Pi 2.
I am currently putting a local team of High School pupils and Pi enthusiasts/hobbyists to take part in the form of a build night.
We have the basic idea of what it is that we would like to do, but any contribution in any form whatsoever will be appreciated.
This is what we already have thus far:
- 17 x 48-port Gigabit Switches
- All the ethernet Fly leads and associated link cables
- 122 Raspberry Pi 2........ and counting
- All the Custom built Housing Boxes for the nodes - Perspex - with Fans
- 11 x 500Watt PSU's
To be built in a hosted Workshop 300 square metres. Well powered and equipped with auxiliary backup.
We are based in Cape Town, South Africa.
