I’m back. Sorry for the absence but I’ve been very busy (and a little neglectful toward blogging). I have found that blogging doesn’t come as easily as I thought it would. But anyway, while away I was hoping the poor (and sometime lack of) documentation and tutorial situation would improve. But even a month after release it hasn’t. I was able to follow the instructions in the user manual, but the examples were not well defined. The accelerometer and touch slider demos had little explanation as to what to expect leaving one with a question as to if they were working properly. This is a demo/evaluation board that purpose is to quickly highlight the feature set of the MCU and available peripherals.
If you are beginning to think that I’m here to bash the FRDM-KL25Z that is not the case. The board has many great features like the drag and drop of code into the SDA drive or the Arduino interface. I’ve also enjoyed the initial unpacking and setup comments of John, Don, Paul and KF5OBS.
Until next time… Gordon
