Dear All,

Here is an Project created for Interfacing element14 Xtrinsic Sensor Board (Accelecometer, Magnetometer, Pressure and Temperature) on FRDM-KL46Z freedom board using Kinetis Design Studio (KDS) + Processor Expert.

Procedure to test this project:

You can directly program the attached "Xtrinsic on KL46 with SW+LCD.srec" file to KL46 board which is connected with Xtrinsic sensor board to Arduino compatible I/O header as shown in below picture and execute it.

This project operates in 4 modes Standby mode (e14), Accelerometer mode (A SE), Magnetometer mode (G SE), Pressure/Temp mode (P SE). All these modes can be transited through successive button press (SW3). And these modes can be seen or displayed on 4-digit segmented LCD panel present on KL46Z board as shown in below picture and the sensor data’s are been sent to UART port and can be seen at HyperTerminal connected on PC.

I will shortly put a detailed blog Tutorial on this project explaining all the component modules used along with video output.

Best Regards

Bheema Rao
