Tower Plug-In Carrier Module
The NXP Tower Plug-In Carrier Module (TWR-TWRPI-BD) makes it easy to Incorporate sensors, radios and other peripheral elements into your embedded design. This peripheral module enables rapid prototyping and evaluation by allowing the addition of up to three general purpose Tower Plug-Ins (TWRPIs), including accelerometers, barometers, radios, and more.
As is standard with all Tower System modules, this peripheral module is interchangeable across the modular development platform and can be used with a variety of existing controller modules, including the TWR-K60D100M and TWR-K70F120M.

Features
- Independent SPI interfaces, each with two selectable slave select signals
- Access to Tower Plug-In (TWRPI) sockets allowing SPI, I2C and UART communication interfaces
- Independent UART interfaces with optional flow control available on sockets A & C
- Independent selection of GPIO or interrupt functionality
- Optional TWRPI ID signals for detection of TWRPI modules
- Selectable I2C bus shares between all TWRPI sockets
- All signals can be isolated from the Tower System to avoid any potential signal conflicts with additional peripheral Tower modules
- Enables rapid prototyping and evaluation of sensors, radios and other peripherals available as Tower plug-ins (TWRPIs)
- Adds up to three additional general-purpose TWRPI modules to the NXP Tower System and interfaces them with signals available on the Tower elevator edge connectors
