DSC MC56F84789 Motor and Power Control Tower System Kit
The TWR-56F8400-KIT is a stand-alone development Kit ideally suited for Motor and Digital Power control applications. The TWR-56F8400 can be used in conjunction with the Tower System peripheral boards, including the LV3PH motor control kit (TWR-MC-LV3PH module). The MC56F84789 included on the board comes pre-loaded with an application demonstrating the ADC with an FIR filter application. The module features serial I/O over USB, CAN circuits and access to each pin. All signals are also available on the headers for easy and neat coupling to your project. It can also be used as the main control board with an APMOTOR56F8000E motor control board.
The module can be powered by the Tower System, an external power supply, the USB jack or a board connected to its header. An advanced version of firmware (31.21) is preloaded into the JM60 USB controller, allowing simultaneous use of the USB as a debug channel and a generic serial port for testing.
The TWR-56F8400 development board (TWR-56F8400) available as a stand-alone board or as a kit (TWR-56F8400-KIT) which includes Tower System Elevator Modules (TWR-ELEV) and Tower System Motor Control Module (TWR-MC-LV3PH).
The TWR-ELEV Elevator modules are the basic building block of the Tower System. Designed to connect MCU and peripheral modules, the Elevator modules provide the power regulation circuitry and structural integrity needed for all configurations of an assembled Tower System.
The 3-phase Low Voltage Motor Control board (TWR-MCLV3PH) is a peripheral Tower System Module. With one of the available MCU tower modules accommodating a selected microcontroller it provides a ready-made, software development platform for one-third horsepower off-line motors. Feedback signals are provided that allow a variety of algorithms to control 3-phase PMSM and BLDC motors.
