How to build custom Linux for MaaxBoard

Hi,

I have recently got the MaaxBoard designed by Avnet Engineering Services. I couldn't get to login screen of the Linux images provided by the Avnet. Also I have tried to build Linux image from the Linux sources and compiling tools provided by Avnet. But i couldn't proceed to build UBoot. Can someone here to help on this issue?

Thanks in Advance,

Baski

    Hi Baski,

What do you mean by you couldn't get to login screen? Have you connected your MaaxBoard to an HDMI monitor? Are you seeing any boot code? What SD Card are you using?

I'll look into the Uboot problem, could you confirm whether you are using the Debian or Yocto based source files?

    Hi Josh,

As i mentioned in another thread, i could see the boot code but after that nothing is happening. I am having Samsung 32GB SD card. I am using Yocto based source files. I am following the document MaaXBoard (EM-MC-SBC-IMX8M) Linux Software Development Guide V1.0 which is giving the steps to build the Linux image from Yocto Poky zeus 22.0.2. I got an error at make em_sbc_imx8m_defconfig step.

    Thank you for help.

    -Baski
