Just purchased my Model B PI with a wi-fi USB dongle. Looking to get a USB camera working to record some wildlife activity in South Park, Colorado

    Hi Paul,

I would strongly recommend buying the camera module for the Raspberry Pi, the add on module gives you both the capability for HD videos and pictures, also it is quite simple to set up motion activate recording using a python script and an in-expensive PIR sensor.

Also if you are wanting to do some night time recording they have brought out a Pi NoIR (No InfraRed) camera, this is the same as the normal camera but has no IR filter and can be used in combination with a infrared light source to capture wildlife at night. See below links to the products.
