HDMI input for a SBC

Anyone had success with HDMI input on any of the (lower priced) single board products? Read about mixed results with easycap/ezcap USB devices, HDMI to ethernet converters, etc... There are more expensive boards (>200 USD) that feature dedicated HDMI input ports but those boards won't have a large support community.

  • I have successfully used HDMI out of the box for Raspberry Pi  any model and BeagleBone Black latest model loaded with Debian and not Angstrom. For the BBB, it will allow networking over the USB to laptop. The cool thing is I can open Chrome or other browse and connect to it using Cloud 9 on BBB out of box. Also I can use it headless as well. Just make sure you get drivers downloaded if using Windows since Linux does not need.
