Hello all.
I am interested in building an under-TV entertainment box of sorts. My current idea is to start with a basic board in the style of the Raspberry Pi and build up from there. My goals in terms of system capabilities are emulation (old consoles and computers such as the Sega Master System, Genesis, Saturn, NES, N64, Atari ST, Amiga, Dosbox) with 1080p60 output and expansion possibilities. Hopefully I would be able to expand the system to be able to stream from a PC and store games/films on it.
At the moment, considering the power needed on the processing side of things I am considering multi core ARM A9 systems or a small AMD based micro-pc called the Gizmo 2 but I am uncertain whether this has enough raw power as the processor seems to be cut back a lot from the APU's that I have experience with. Has anyone got any experience with these or suggestions as to the best way to proceed?
