How to create multiple virtual ports with unique assigned mac addresses on beaglebone ?

Hello Guys,

I want to setup multiple virtual ports from physical ethernet port. I've was trying to do under debian os using multimac tool, everything has been done properly but I couldn't capture the packets for the ports. I started thinking, either this multimac works internal or external? Otherwise is there any other stuff I'm missing?

If you guys know any other way of doing it then could you guys please advise me on this issue.

Many Thanks

    Looking at https://www.primianotucci.com/os/multimac:

All traffic will be cloned to the tap0 interface which is bridged with eth0 (conceptually it work like a big switch with eth0 tap1 tap2... tapN interfaces attached).

So a packet trace on eth0 shows all traffic.
