I ordered a "Element 14 BeagleBone Black Rev C - 4GB - Pre-installed Debian (Element
14 Version) [ID:1996]". According to the web page, "The new BeagleBone Black Rev C ships with the Debian Linux w/the 3.8.13-bone kernel."
However, the BeagleBone Black I received had a 4.1 kernel installed on it, which was incompatible with my application, since many things have changed between the two kernels.
