BB VIEW_43 Hardware Question

Former Member

I am looking at the BB View as a possible LCD for my project.  My project uses 3 GPIOs for its custom functions on an existing cape that I will need to be plugged into J1 and J2 of the BB View.  They are P9 pins 23, 27 and 42.   In the BB View manual it says J2 (I assume this corresponds to P9 on the BBB)   pins 27 and 42 are NC (No Connect).

Does this mean I need to chose another IO and that those IO are not available at all on J2?

Is pin 23 on J2 the same as Pin 23 on J9 of the BBB or GPIO1_17?

Are the no connects just not connected to J1 & J2 and so those IOs are lost and can't be used?

If they are lost I can use other IOs but I really need to know if those other IOs correspond to the same pins on the BBB.

    Sorry for the wasted post.
