Hello community, I come to you to give me a solution to my problem. I have a beaglebone black with his debian system, I want to update with ubuntu, I followed a tutorial on the internet where they gave a command to erase the originaoriginal system. Now I want to return the original original system on my card, but I have no solution.. I downloaded the debian system on my SD card, the problem the card does not start. I just have two Blue LEDs that stay on. Has anyone who can help me? thank you for your reply

Yes, it started with Angstrom. Your BBB blogs were really helpful, Shabaz, when I first started with the Beagleboard. But they switched to Debian, and have been keeping that OS up to date.

It's been years since I tried it, but I seem to remember it never came with Debian, it came with Angstrom, on the built-in eMMC. You can follow the instructions on the BeagleBone Black page to install Debian to the microSD card. If it's not working, you may have downloaded the wrong image (look specifically for the one that is intended for BeagleBone black, it is [currently] the third one on the download page https://beagleboard.org/latest-images ) and follow the getting started guide ( https://beagleboard.org/getting-started#update  ) to see how to transfer that image to the micro SD card (it's not drag-and-drip to the drive letter, you have to follow the instructions!).

If that still doesn't work, it could be user error, or perhaps faulty cables, power supply or micro SD card or faulty BeagleBone board and so on. It's such a mature board, and the instructions on the getting started page have not been modified in years, therefore it is highly likely to be a fault or user error I'm afraid. If you follow it to the letter, and you have functioning hardware, then it will work. It is close to a 10-year old board, there should be plenty of information you can search in the archive https://forum.beagleboard.org/

Shabaz.Thank you very much for your answer, I appreciated it very much, I followed the instructions well, as I mentioned in my question at the top, I executed a command to clear the inter memory From BBB, so I want to confirm if I can put the system in an SD, to boot it, if not maybe it is finished

Kamal. You do have to be sure to download the "flasher" SD card image. That image is designed to automatically flash the emmc memory with the operating system.  Insert the flasher SD, Then power on the bbb.

    For example:

    https://debian.beagleboard.org/images/bone-eMMC-flasher-debian-10.3-iot-armhf-2020-04-06-4gb.img.xz

The other (non flasher) image is used for manual SD card booting. To use that image youhave to hold the Boot button while powering the bbb on. When you do that the bbb reads the SD card and starts up using the SD card image.
