I can't even serial into this device. I've tried the for dummies guide, I've tried the guide here https://dave.cheney.net/2013/09/22/two-point-five-ways-to-access-the-serial-console-on-your-beaglebone-black, nothing. Currently, I have it powered up via usb, as well as another usb connecting it to the j1 header with an ftdi friend, and I've used the "sudo screen" command via 115200, and the terminal is just a blank screen. It's just hanging.
I want to use the device that I've paid money for, I've had it for over a year now with no ability to access it. Using my bbb rev c has been one of my primary motivations in switching from windows to linux (ubuntu). I want to access it, I want to use it.
Please help, if I have to give it away, I will not be buying another one.
