Running Linux on SD-Card

Hi Guys,

is there a detailed description for burning an ubuntu image on the SD-Card? I have installed the existing linux image on the eMMC internal storage. Works fine! But unfortunately the amount of internal storage (4GB) is not enough for my project. What i want to do is install ROS (Robotic Operating System) and therefore i need more than 4GB storage. I have googled for several hours now and i only find an .sdcard file which probably contains a Linux image. But i don't know how to install this .sdcard image to the SD-Card from the Riot-Board. Can someone help me?

we have a document here for flashing using linux.
plz check this for flashing using windows

I have read this tutorial already RIoTboard: Updating OS images in Windows Environment. But what line i have to put in the "cfg.ini" file that ubuntu will be flashed to the Sd-Card? I have try the following in the cfg file:

[profiles]
chip = MX6DL Linux Update

[platform]
board = RIOT

[LIST]
name = i.MX6DL-ubuntu-SabreSD-SD

The Mfg tool stucks by "Loading u-boot" stepp. I have waited an hour and nothing happened in the status bar.
The Riot Board was in the serial download mode.

When use the "cfg.ini" file below the Mfg tool dont start correctly and throws an error.

[profiles]
chip = MX6DL Linux Update

[platform]
board = RIOT

[LIST]
name = i.MX6DL-ubuntu-RIOT-SD

any help?

you can avoid that MFG Tool altogether .
