Can I root the Riotboard?

Former Member
Former Member over 11 years ago

I tried to root the Riotboard on Android 4.3, and setting->Developer options->USB debugging is set for ON.

Then plug in this device into PC via USB OTG connect. I found the device management show unknown device for "RIOT-MX6SOLO.on PC Where I can get this device driver to install on PC(XP/Win 7)?

Sincerely

Ken

I got zip file and follow the steps. I cannot get usb_driver, my folder name is D:\adt-bundle-windows-x86-20140702\sdk\extras\android.

    The script is

The driver can be found in <ADT install directory>\adt-bundle-windows-x86-20131030\sdk\extras\google\usb_driver.

    Read the blog.

There is said that theres a "15 seconds adb installer" over at xda developers.

    Newest version is 1.3.

It also contains the needed drivers to install.

What you need before you can start:

I´m assuming since you´re using the RIoTBoard as a development platform, that you have the Android SDK installed and adb is configured.

If not. Well you don´t need to download the whole SDK. When using Windows you can use the "15 seconds adb installer" from a thread at XDA Developers. (Google it)

I just want to get usb driver, too much topics need to study. Could you let me know where to get usb driver?

    Sincerely

    Ken

In his description you would download the whole Android SDK.

If you  don´t need that, just use the 15 Second Adb installer. It´s only 9.11MB.

And it has the USB drivers INTEGRATED.
