    Hi Pushpa,

    I got my RiotBoard last week and haven't observed your problems. I've completed the following;

    1- Boot up the default Android. This is a good basic test.

        I actually had an issue where it didn't like my HDMI to VGA converter. I actually had to plug it into a proper VGA monitor. That was an important learning step for me.

    2- Download and burn the Ubuntu SD image. I used Win32DiskImager (used to burn Raspberry Pi images), burnt the image. Powered off the board, changed the switches on the board, inserted the SD and powered on. After a minute or so it booted up healthy. This was a great troubleshooting step.

    3- I then used the MFG tool to burn the Ubuntu kit to the board. I downloaded the kit and tool. I powered off the board, set the switches as per the instructions. Plugged in the USB cable that came with the board, you connect it from your PC to the little uUSB port near the SD card. Powered up the board. Waited for Win7 to recognize the device and load the driver. Then followed the instructions for the MFG tool from the manual. It took about an hour (not sure I was doing something else) to complete. Once done I selected "Stop" then "Exit" as per the manual. And then I unplugged the USB cable, powered off the board, changed the switches (as per the manual) and powered the board back on. After a minute it booted into the Ubuntu desktop.

    The documentation was a bit daunting. However it all just worked without any major issues.

    My suggestion is to try each of the above to help build your confidence with the board, documentation and process. If you have issues re-read the document and double check you have the switches set correctly. And ensure you follow the documentation.

    Regards,

    Dave
