Linux header unmatched

Hi there,

I've booted up a riotboard using the image in SVN2591 and everything seems fine. But when I check "uname -r" it returns "3.0.35-02881-g2ca0807-dirty" while the one inside "ls /lib/modules/" is 3.0.35-2508-g54750ff. No wonder I saw modprobe error in the dmesg, and the "lsmod" return nothing.

Anyone faced this?

The kernel modules generated from 3.0.35-0288 are not updated in /lib/modules.
so there's a mismatch and modprobe error.

if building kernel locally , copy the generated modules to the rootfs /lib & /usr/include folders.

make modules

make modules_install INSTALL_MOD_PATH=<ROOTFS_SDCARD_LOCATION>

make headers_install INSTALL_HDR_PATH=<ROOTFS_SDCARD_LOCATION/usr>

I did not build the kernel myself, but I would like to. Can you show me where can I get the source code?

you can refer Riotboard User Manual Section5 to build custom images.

Can you explain where can I get these two?

     Get the source code from dropbox

     Get the latest linux system source code from the below website and save to home

     directory:

     www.element14.com/riotboard

What i found is image instead of the source code. Could you please help?

in linux:

setup directory:

get sources:

git clone git://github.com/embest-tech/fsl-linaro-toolchain.git

git clone git://github.com/embest-tech/u-boot-imx.git -b embest_imx_3.0.35_4.0.0

git clone git://github.com/embest-tech/linux-imx.git -b embest_imx_3.0.35_4.0.0

build u-boot

cd u-boot-imx_3.0.35/

export ARCH=arm

export CROSS_COMPILE=~/riot_github/fsl-linaro-toolchain/bin/arm-fsl-linux-gnueabi-

make mx6solo_RIoTboard_config

make -j4

build kernel & modules

export PATH=~/riot_github/u-boot-imx_3.0.35/tools:$PATH

cd ~/riot_github/linux-imx_3.0.35

make imx6_defconfig

make -j4 uImage

make modules

Once above done check below guide to setup sdcard;
