How to run off battery power?

Former Member
Former Member over 8 years ago

Hi there,

right now now I have been powering the board via the usb port on the couch board. I have had the battery connected but it didn't seem to keep the board powered on when I disconnected the usb cable from the cpu board. Is there anything specific to be done to run off battery power? And secondly is the only way to power the board on and off wih just the battery is by plugging/unplugging the battery connect (which is a pain to do)?

thanks!

Well I think I spoke too soon?  While I see in the schematics for the CPU board, the block diagram shows a On/Off block, I can't find any physical switch on the board.  All I see are 3 switches on the I/O board, and I don't see where these are documented.  Through trial & error, I understand one of the switches on the I/O board is for reset, but the other 2 don't seem to do anything.

Can someone confirm how to enable this platform to be battery operated?
