I have tried patching the software as per the manual, but I still can't get the LCD working. The backlight comes on and the system still operates but no display. Is anyone else having this same issue?
Hello, according to the manual there is a debian patch available from the link on page 24 of this manual. Clicking the link brings you to 'BeagleBoard'.
Hi, I bought three 7" BB-view kit for my original BB, I follow the steps on the users manual but I cant calibrate my screen, I follow the calibration steps and all goes well, the calibration screen boots up and then the TI SDK main screen is shown, but when I cant push icons, the pointer goes nuts when I try to press something as if my stylus or my finger is somewhere else.
Thanks for the advice. I just bought a 5Vdc/4A adapter and the BBView cape works perfectly.
Just to clarify on my question regarding the schematic in previous thread. I saw some ICs and capacitors on the PCB where the LCD is mounted, as well as the cape, where 5 User Switches are mounted.
Will the schematic for the LCD PCB and the cape be published? I don't see any schematic in the User Manual.
Thanks! No problem. Yes the DC connector is great because it goes direct to the VDD_5V line on the header, and this has been really convenient for many projects, saves having to use a second power supply even when the external circuit uses several hundred mA off this supply rail.
