With unmatched performance, TI's CC4000 can deliver accuracy better than 3 meters with a time to first fix of about 35 seconds. CC4000's "Watchful Eye" technology automatically maintains satellite posiitoning information allowing your solution to stay in low power modes longer.
A slim driver coupled with modules from the world's leading manufacturers reduces development time, complexity and cost by allowing you to get to market more quickly with known system performance. it is a fully integrated GPS solution, including Embedded GPS driver, NMEA protocol communication, Reduced system complexity, Minimal loading on host CPU, Enables GPS functionality with all MCUs and MPUs, and Based on 6th generation GPS solution shipping for several years (millions of units shipped).
The SimpleLink GPS CC4000 can be used in conjunction with the MSP430F5529 Experimenter Board (MSP-EXP430F5529MSP-EXP430F5529), as well as any MSP430 MCU. On the software side, TI provides CC4000+MSP430 GPS User Experience Code that contains demo applications and corresponding sample code, the Lite FET-Pro430 tool to flash the example code in the MSP430 chip and a Navigator Tool, a PC Application which displays GPS Parameters.
TC6000GN is a highly-integrated GPS module offered by GNS using Texas Instrument’ SimpleLink GPS CC4000, enables applications benefitting from precise time, location, and/or velocity data. This solution provides industry standard NMEA protocol data for accurate time, position, latitude, longitude, satellite status, course and speed. Autonomous warm start and hot start are enabled by on-board memory, improving start-up performance. A single GPIO is used to initiate a GPS fix (Push-to-fix), activating power management for active and deep sleep modes. Applications requiring high precision timing benefit from an independent programmable PPS generator.
