Kit Overview

The CC2530ZDKCC2530ZDK is designed to deliver the most powerful elements for ZigBee and ZigBee PRO development in the market today. The kit is based on TI's second generation 2.4GHz IEEE 802.15.4 compliant System-on-Chip, the CC2530CC2530, and contains all hardware, software, tools, and documentation necessary to build a ZigBee compliant product.

The CC2530ZDKCC2530ZDK includes CC2530CC2530-based evaluation modules, SmartRF05EB and SmartRFBB development boards, a USB interface dongle, cables, antennas and documentation to get you up and running with the ZStack on the multiProductLinkCC2530. The CC2530EM evaluation modules can be plugged into SmartRF05EB and SmartRF05BB boards, which are included in the Development Kit.

The evaluation modules can be used as a reference module for prototyping and for verifying the performance of the CC2530CC2530 RF IC. The multiProductLinkCC2530 RF SoC enables both consumer and industrial grade applications by offering state-of-the-art selectivity/co-existence, excellent link budget, operation up to 125°C and low voltage operation.

The CC2530ZDKCC2530ZDK comes with TI's ZigBee compliant Z-Stack supporting ZigBee, ZigBee PRO, and the Smart Energy and Home Automation application profiles. The SmartRF05EB+CC2530EM or the CC2531CC2531 USB stick can be utilized as a capture device for the SmartRF Packet Sniffer.

Z-StackTm is TI's ZigBee compliant protocol stack for a growing portfolio of IEEE 802.15.4 products and platforms. Z-Stack support the CC2530CC2530 and is compliant with both the ZigBeeRegistered 2007 (ZigBee and ZigBee PRO) and ZigBeeRegistered 2006 specification.

Key Applications: 2.4-GHz IEEE 802.15.4 Systems, RF4CE Remote Control Systems (64-KB Flash and Higher) , ZigBee Systems (256-KB Flash), Home/Building Automation, Lighting Systems, Industrial Control and Monitoring, Low-Power Wireless Sensor Networks, Consumer Electronics, Health Care
