Kit Overview

The Texas Instruments EM430F6137RF900EM430F6137RF900 is a complete wireless development tool for the CC430 that includes all the hardware required to develop an entire wireless project. The sample kit includes two sub-1GHz wireless target boards (including antennas) featuring the highly integrated MSP430F6137IRGC RF System-on-chip. Projects may be developed and instantly deployed using the included batteries.

  • The CC430 integrates the latest MSP430F5xx core (which combines 25 MHz performance with a 200-ksps 12-bit ADC, AES hardware security module and a 96 segment LCD driver) with theCC1101 multi-channel RF transceiver designed for low-power wireless applications.
  • The EM430F6137RF900EM430F6137RF900 development board supports all CC430F613x and CC430F612x flash parts in the 64-pin QFN (RGC) package. It also supports software development for the CC430F513x parts (48-pin QFN (RGZ) package).
  • The SimpliciTI software stack (a proprietary low-power star network stack) for the CC430 will also be made available to interested developers, enabling robust wireless networks out of the box

The CC430F61xx series are microcontroller system-on-chip configurations combining the excellent performance of the state-of-the-art multiProductLinkCC1101 sub-1-GHz RF transceiver with the MSP430 CPUXV2, up to 32 kB of in-system programmable flash memory, up to 4 kB of RAM, two 16-bit timers, a high-performance 12-bit A/D converter with eight external inputs plus internal temperature and battery sensors on CC430F613x devices, comparator, universal serial communication interfaces (USCI), 128-bit AES security accelerator, hardware multiplier, DMA, real-time clock module with alarm capabilities, LCD driver, and up to 44 I/O pins.

Key Applications: Low-power wireless applications.
