The CC2520EMKCC2520EMK Evaluation Module Kit:


The Texas Instruments CC2520EMKCC2520EMK is an ad-on development kit for CC2520DKCC2520DK. The full stand-alone development kit is CC2520DK. The CC2520EMK development kit consists of 2 CC2520EM plug in modules and 2 antennas. The CC2520EMK is only usable together with a motherboard/host board, typically the SmartRF05EB and CCMSP-EM430F2618, which are both included in the CC2520DK. The board is also compatible with the MSP430F5438 Experimenter's BoardMSP430F5438 Experimenter's Board.

 

The CC2520-CC2591EMKCC2520-CC2591EMK Evaluation Module Kit:

 

The multiProductLinkCC2591 RF Front End includes PA, LNA, switches, balun, RF matching network and inductor, and will increase output power and improve receiver sensitivity on a 2.4 GHz low-power RF solution. The CC2520 is an IEEE 802.15.4 compliant RF transceiver.

 

The Texas Instruments CC2520-CC2591EMKCC2520-CC2591EMK includes two CC2520RHDTCC2520RHDT-CC2591EM evaluation modules and antennas. The CC2520-CC2591EM board combines the CC2520 802.15.4 transceiver and the CC2591 RF front end, providing a powerful solution for IEEE 802.15.4 and/or ZigBeeTm applications requiring long range (higher output power) and improved sensitivity.

 

The CC2520-CC2591EMKCC2520-CC2591EMK allows you to evaluate the RF performance of the CC2520+CC2591 design, perform RF measurements and use it as a ready-to-use module in existing designs. To use the module, a motherboard where the EM can be plugged in is needed. Compatible moterhboards are SmartRF05EB and CCMSP-EM430F2618 (included in the CC2520DKCC2520DK).

 

The CC2520RHDTCC2520RHDT Development Kit (CC2520DKCC2520DK) includes hardware and software that allows quick testing of the CC2520RHDTCC2520RHDT RF performance and offers a complete platform for development of advanced prototype RF systems and for evaluation of the CC2520 right out of the box. The kit can be used for range testing using the pre-programmed PER tester running on the MSP430F2618.

 

Use SmartRFRegistered Studio to perform RF measurements. The radio can be easily configured to measure sensitivity, output power and other RF parameters. All I/O from the CC2520RHDTCC2520RHDT are available on pin connectors on the SmartRFRegistered05EB and on the CCMSP-EM, allowing easy interconnection to other devices or controllers. These connectors are also compatible with logic analyzer probes for easy debugging.

 

The SmartRF05+CC2520EM can be utilized as a capture device for the SmartRF Packet Sniffer.

 

The CCMSP-EM430F2618 is a generic MCU board that can be plugged into a SmartRF05EB, giving access to all of that board’s user interfaces. Any TI LPW transceiver EM, or even a system-on-chip EM, can be plugged into the MCU board, enabling a versatile development platform for RF testing and software design.
