Team Leader Mark Lee speaks on how EAGLE PCB tools made the difference.
My name is Mark Lee and I am the leader of CUAUV. It is a pleasure to meet you, and thank you for the congratulations!
Many of the sub-team leaders on the CUAUV electrical team used EAGLE last year for our projects, such as the custom carrier board and motor-controller board. Carrier board interfaces with the COMExpress 6 motherboard, acting as a highly streamlined breakout board with only essential I/O peripherals and functionality that our team needs. The extensive component and footprint libraries available in EAGLE greatly facilitated the schematic and PCB layout stage for the custom carrier board. In the past our team has relied on online PCB software... for our custom electronics board. Due to the high complexity, extensive number of pins, and minuscule components, the custom carrier board would have been an unnecessarily strenuous process with the free online software. In this project, EAGLE proved to be invaluable tool for our team.
Best,
Mark
