Like most people, I gave that up long ago, and simply use "R" as a suffix to
mean "ohm".

yes, the problem is that the fonts in EAGle do not include the Omega (
afaik ) so even if you can import it, eagle can't draw it. Using R is
now standard practice and it is in every font everywhere, that Omega
will drive you nuts when you try to import/export, email, etc...
