More accurate gerber274x files?

e5frog

When making a design with a bottom layer that was exactly 107x96mm in Eagle

5.10 it had grown about 0.3mm after exported to gerber files and opened up

in the manufacturer's software. The design was basically a large

rectangular copper surface with a hole and the top layer a slightly smaller

rectangle.

How come, is there any setting I can make to improve accuracy?

As all measurements were in maxium 0.5mm resolution I had set the grid to

0.5 and 0.1, is that where I can change anything perhaps?

    Hi Fred,

You're board didn't change at all. By default the EAGLE cam jobs add an

offset to the board to make sure all of the features are in the positive

XY axis. When you import the gerber into the viewer look at the bottom

left corner of your board you'll notice that it's not exactly at 0,0.

It's a caveat, it doesn't affect the manufacturability of the boards so

    you don't have to worry.

    hth,

    Jorge Garcia
