I have just read about some of the new features in V6, and I can say some
of them are pretty cool,
some of what i like..
1) LAYOUT DIMENSIONS - Cool, I have been doing this manually, I hope that
if you adjust an object size that the dimensioned text updates with it.
also I use eagle cad for simple mechanical drawings of say enclosure etc.
2) ARBITRARY PAD SHAPES, - I have a job now that needs slots for though
hole parts
3) DESIGN REUSE via copy and paste - I have a job now that REQUIRES merging
two boards together, can't wait for this feature!
additional features ( not sure what this means)
1) ASSEMBLY VARIANTS - So I guess we can design say one schematic, and
attach more than one LAYOUT? I wonder how this works with the ULP language
especially for BOM ULP's
2) USER DEFINED CONTEXT MENUS - I hope we can add menu items for ULP's
here!
3) TEXT JUSTIFY - I am not sure if this is orientation of text WITHIN a
text area, or orientation of the text area to the attached part ( i.e
cross-hair)?
When can I get my hands on a beta version!!!
I wonder if there are any new features of the User language?
