The test newsgroup should be visible as "test" on news.cadsoft.de and

also EAGLE Central.

Here's test message from my dev instance of element14 which properly

converts graphical emoticon to plain text emoticon:

When is the emoticon fix going to be moved into production? The issue still

exists and the testing  looked successful.

Hi Warren,

It is in our next release which I slated for October 25th.  I'll follow

up once it is live.  I would have liked to have gotten it in sooner but

the previous release had a major feature that required a longer testing

period than normal.

There are several more fixes which will be going into the following

release which will occur in November (not sure exact date yet).  This

includes unique per-element14-user From: address to rectify profile

collisions on EAGLE Central, and 72 character line wrapping for

element14 posts exported to NNTP.

Attachments have been a thorny issue, and unfortunately there is no

resolution yet.  For attachment from element14 to NNTP, our platform

vendor is working on a fix.  The intended functionality is for a URL to

be inserted in the post that points to the attachment located on our

server, but it is not working.  For NNTP to element14, I'm still trying

to pin down why the attachments are failing.

Please let me know if there are any additional issues which I have

overlooked.
