looking for magnetic reed switch part library for Eagle CAD

First of all, am I the only one who thinks that the sign up for this forum is ridiculous? The system refuses to let you use a password that it finds "unsecure" never mind I can never remember what I wound up having to use. Then for a profile picture, it said that it would  be resized to 500 pixels wide, yet it kept telling me that an image 65,80 was too large. Geesh!

ANyway, i am looking for to use magnetic reed switches in a schematic I am designing in Eagle CAD and I would like to know if there is a part library that includes these? Thanks...

    To find reed switch, use:

    USE relay

    ADD reed*

    Hi Derek,

For the reed switches you should search for just the word reed in the lib search.

This as your reed switches are actual a reed relay. So parts RR1A/RR1U or RR2A might be what you are looking for.

    Regards,

    Marco

Use a nntp reader and this problem is gone.

I did do a search for "reed" before posting this, but as you both pointed out, those are relays. What I am looking for are magnetic reed switches like the types used in alarm systems - where a magnet brought near it will close the contacts, assuming a NO type switch.

    Please attached a new library.
