Anyone looking for a small job?

Former Member
Former Member over 11 years ago

Hello everyone

I am an American inventor of electronic drum instruments, and I need Gerber files for one of my projects. I know it's lame, but I'm slammed for time and I need to hire someone to do this job. I'll attach jpegs of what I need. I only need copper on one side, and printing on the other. Measurements in mm's.

You can see my work at Youtube.com, Drumagination Inventions. You can write me at Mark.Steele@drumagination.com.

Thanks

Mark

Thanks to all for your kindly response to my request for help, and especially to Brian. It is a pretty cool group you have here!

    Best regards and happy holidays!

I am an American inventor of electronic drum instruments, and I need

Gerber files for one of my projects. I know it's lame, but I'm slammed

for time and I need to hire someone to do this job.

It's not lame.  This is how the world works.  Each of us does what we are

    good at.

I don't know what you mean by just needing "Gerber files".  This is

probably not something we are interested in because it sounds like it

doesn't include the electronic design, just getting Gerber files made from

a existing layout.  It's not clear what would be imported or what the input

data looks like.  You might want to clarify this.

It would also be to your benefit to provide better contact information.

With just a email address, you're likely to only get responses from those

desperate enough to take whatever comes along from whomever.  Sometimes you

do get a bargain, but you don't really want the guy that got layed off a

year ago who spends his time scouring the net for odd jobs.  There's

probably a good reason nobody wants to hire him.

Just as you want to qualify those you hire work out to, you have to

undestand folks like us need to qualify customers too.  It works both ways.

I tried to go to www.drumagination.com to get more info, but that is

password protected.  A quick search yielded www.drumsetconnect.com, but

there is no physical location or relevant contact info that was easy to

find.  That's as far as my curiosity took me, but it shouldn't have been

that hard.  I want to know more than a email address for someone I'd be

working for.  I want to know the customer's physical location, and have at

least a phone number.  Email isn't good for initial discussions since a lot

of back and forth is required initially.  I also want to see the products,

browse around and see what the world thinks of them, read some reviews if

possible, etc.  In other words, if I can't to my homework and qualify a

customer, I'm probably not going to respond.  Think of it from my

perspective.  Taking on a customer is a commitment of time and business

opportunity.  There are lots of way we could be spending that time.  I need

to make sure each customer is a good choice for maximizing the limited

    business opportunity.

So do yourself a favor and give more information on yourself so those you

really want to hire can check you out.
