I need to import a .dxf file into Eagle.
Anyone got any steps for me to follow? I am at a loss right now.

There are some tools that allow to convert DXF format to EAGLE script.
Please look at http://www.cadsoft.de/downloads/tools-and-converters
Commonly used tools
dxf2scr-1.zip (for free)
eagle_pcb_power_tools*.exe (for small projects for free)
