ULP for computing distance between components

Hi, I would like to know if there is a ULP that calculates the distance

between two adjacent components. More specifically, from edge(cmp 1) to

edge(cmp 2).

 

I am in the middle of somethign and have little time to search the ulp

list, although I did search here on the forums a bit for "distance ulp".

Did not find anything of relevance.

    Version 6 has a dimension feature that may work for you if you are using v6.

    Version 5 had no such feature. Most use the MARK command and simply read off

    the polar distance.

    A ULP would be of little use as the edges of a package are not normally

    defined as such. Information in the tPlace or document layers are often

    larger and sometimes smaller

    I guess your own libraries could be made exactly.

     

    Then there's the issue of the direction of measurement.

     

    Not the answer you were after, no doubt.
